Quite simply, I am ruthless to my own manuscripts. If the text that I wrote is not safe from me marking it through with red, I can guarantee that you will get your money's worth.
A developmental edit is a “big picture” edit, and is generally the first round of editing performed on a manuscript. Some line edits or copyedits may be included on the manuscript to show how to revise effectively.
I charge $0.03/word for developmental edits.
Copyeditors correct spelling, grammar, usage, and punctuation. A copyedit can be light, moderate, or heavy depending on the manuscript’s condition and the author’s preference.

I charge $0.02/word for line edits.
For many, polishing the manuscript for publication includes both copy and line editing. If that is desired, the cost for both is only $0.03/word.
I edit at a normal rate of 50,000 words in a month. If you need your edit back sooner than that, there will be a 20% additional charge for each week faster.
All edits will be accomplished using Track Changes and comments on a Word document. This is to give you control over what changes you want to incorporate into your work.
If you would like me to edit your manuscript, please contact me and we'll discuss what you need, when you need it by, and final costs. When we've nailed down everything, I'll write up and sign an Editing Agreement.
